Echoes of Faith Church, founded by Rev. Bertie McCoy, began as a drug outreach center in May of 1971 (known then as God’s Powerhouse). In 1973, Echoes of Faith rented the sheriff’s posse building at 1401 E. Washington Ave., and began purchasing the 4-acre lot in 1975. In July of 2001, Pastor Bertie resigned as pastor and retired from active ministry. Rev. James Matza became the new pastor, and faithfully ministered to the people for the next five years. On January 1, 2006, Rev. James Matza resigned as pastor and turned the ministry over to Rev. Godwin Azeke, our current pastor.
Today, Echoes of Faith Church is a debt-free ministry that has been serving the Las Vegas Valley for over 35 years. We have a long, rich history of growing, developing, maturing and equipping Believers to be able to go forth and become pastors, ministers, evangelists, missionaries, and leaders in churches and ministries throughout Las Vegas, the United States, and the world.
